UCSS Ariadne Communication Logs
This is written for a third year university module. It was a super fun project to work on as I got to write in a genre that I don't normally get to and in a style that allowed me to play around with the formatting of the work in interesting ways to create
another layer of narrative.
The project itself is a sci-fi themed piece of work that sets up plot points within a larger narrative. It does not set out to solve any of the questions it brings up, rather to leave them to the imagination of the reader as they explore the game world in search of answers.
It would be found in-game as text on a computer or as a printed-out document. It is a series of what are essentially emails between two characters and a transcript of a meeting that introduces two more characters to the player. This is portrayed as communication logs of a spaceship that have been accessed by the player.
They have stumbled across this after exploring a derelict spacestation, and the logs that have been retrieved set the stage for the events that lead to the loss of the UCSS Ariadne and her accompanying fleet.
